We caught the EuroStar train at Ashford in Kent to take us through the Channel Tunnel.
Using my trusty Garmin Nuvi 300 SatNav I clocked the speed. The EuroStar hit 140mph briefly on the English side before entering the Channel Tunnel. But on the French side it hit a max of 185mph!

An English Pub in the heart of Paris. It was raining so we had a quick pint.
Hotel Montparnasse Lenox. Once again an excellent choice found by reseaching on Trip Advisor. Very friendly English speaking staff. Great location.
Opera House. By now the novelty of European architecture was beginning to wear off.
